Not All Home Inspectors are Built Equally
Did you know in North Carolina, home inspectors do not have to have real-world construction experience to be licensed?
In order to become a licensed home inspector in North Carolina, potential inspectors only have to complete a 120-hour classroom course and an 80-hour field training course to meet education and experience requirements, along with passing the NC state exam.
Home Inspectors Need Knowledge &
Real-World Experience
To us, 80 hours of field training sure doesn’t sound like a lot of time to learn the ins and outs of foundation, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, drywall, interiors, exteriors, fixtures, flooring, and more.
Your home is one of the biggest lifetime investments that you will ever make. Doesn’t it make sense to hire a professional who knows how to inspect a home AND knows how to build a home?
